Elemental Spirit is where we realize there is no past and no future – there just IS. And yet, there still exists infinite possibility of what can be created and experienced. In some traditions, Elemental Spirit is called Akasha, and is thought to be the etheric source of time, wisdom, and life itself.
It is in the Earth element that we find our grounding, within our bodies and our spirits. This magick teaches us how to accept abundance, reality, and the permanent impermanence of birth, death, and rebirth.
The majority of our healing and rejuvenation practices are related to water – a warm bath, a visit to the spa, an impromptu trip to the beach. We dedicate and consecrate water to make it “holy”; we entrust it to purify our bodies and our material belongings.
Fire is the power of passion and desire, not only in the sexual sense but in what we desire for the world and lives. Our inhibitions regarding sensuality and sexuality are burned away; inspiration and creativity “lights a fire” in us, and we embrace our passions with abandon.
Keeping a balance of the Air element in our spirit allows us to embrace our dreams and goals in a logical way. Air supplies us with the creativity to create a new life, and the logic and wisdom to plan out, step by step, how we can make our dreams come true.
